War–Assisted Readymades
"I created these in response to the second war in Iraq. I was inspired by Duchamp's Apolinère Enameled (1916-1917). The idea is simple: take an image from the magazine celebrating our victory over Saddam Hussein...and paint children's toys into the images, thus putting a different spin on the commemorative photographs."
